Building Confidence Through Connection: Taylor’s Journey at Bishop Elementary

October 17, 2025

Since joining Aeromark in August, Taylor has become a vital part of the cafeteria team at Bishop Elementary School in Dublin. Initially, Taylor started by serving food. As her strong work ethic became evident and her ability to adapt quickly grew, she was entrusted with a position of greater responsibility—prepping meals, managing tasks, and handling busy workloads with ease.

Her favorite part of the day is interacting with the students. Their energy and positivity fuel her enthusiasm, and each lunch period is another chance to connect, smile, and bring a bit of joy into the school day. Within just a few months, Taylor has built confidence and independence, taking on more duties, and thriving in a small but mighty team of three.

Colleagues and supervisors describe Taylor as earnest, hardworking, and quick to learn. She’s already trusted to work independently—an impressive achievement in such a short time. Taylor’s growth has been supported by the peers around her, whose encouragement has helped her embrace new challenges and discover her own strengths.

Taylor’s path to this job wasn’t by chance. With the support of her ARC Voyagers, Employment Support Professional, Mark Isenhart, and the rest of her team, including Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) and Dublin Connects, she pursued her goal of working in a school system. Now, Taylor is not only achieving that dream but also exceeding expectations, showing what’s possible when determination meets the right environment.

At Bishop Elementary, Taylor is proving every day that pride, perseverance, and a willingness to grow can turn opportunity into success.
