Success on the Spectrum

ARC Voyagers also provides autism care through a franchise partnership with Success on the Spectrum (SOS) providing ABA Therapy for children and Caregiver Training for parents.

Our goal is to help children develop self-control, independence, and a positive self-concept. Our long-term objective is to teach functional skills that help our clients become fulfilled adults in mainstream society.

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive and fun environment. We provide play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy both in our clinic and the home setting, for children 18 months to 18 years diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to help build essential life skills.

Assessment and Skill Development Plan

After an autism diagnosis is received, our Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets with families to assess the child’s current skills and create a personalized treatment plan. Using this plan, ABA therapy is delivered one-on-one by our highly trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under BCBA supervision. Therapy takes place across the clinic including but not limited to private treatment rooms, our playroom, art room, and social room to encourage skill-building in different settings. At SOS, we value family involvement, offering a parent viewing room that provides parents with the opportunity to observe their child’s therapy session via live stream as well as participate in BCBA lead parent training to support ABA strategies at home.

Areas of skill development we focus on include but are not limited to:

  • Communication (expressing wants and needs)
  • Daily living skills (eating, hygiene, independence)
  • Emotional regulation (managing behaviors and big emotions)
  • Following routines (building flexibility and tolerance)
  • Social and play skills (interacting with peers)
What we’ve identified is that not only do we have adults at ARC Voyagers who have the diagnosis of autism but there were many children in central Ohio who have an unmet need and what we really wanted to do is to leverage our expertise and our desire to really meet those needs for the children and families in the community by providing ABA Therapy in a quality setting in our new clinic.
